Burlingham
Engineering & Project Management
About our Firm
Firm President: Sean C. Burlingham, P.E. The mark of a capable and distinguished Engineering Firm
is its ability to provide designs for challenging projects. In the case of
Structural Engineering, challenging design work means tall and / or
complicated structures. Developers and Owners turn to us when
they need a competent Structural Engineer with a proven history
of successful large structural projects. Our major clients are repeat
customers for whom we have worked for over 23 years and counting. We have provided the Structural
Design and Inspection for many of the largest and most complicated
structures that have been built in Brevard County. After working
as a Structural Engineer for various government and private employers
since 1989, our President Sean Burlingham
founded Burlingham & Associates in 1999. Our Firm enjoyed an immediate
response from many prominent commercial developers such as Towne
Realty, and from the Brevard County School Board.
We are very grateful to our Clients, who
keep giving us the opportunity to demonstrate our ability to provide first
class Structural Design and Inspection Services for a broad variety of
project types. To our esteemed clients: Thank You !!! Without you, we are
nothing. Our major areas of practice are listed
below. Most items are also links (underlined) that will take you to
separate page that details our experiences.

Major Areas of Practice
Current / Active Projects
Hurricane Report Card I have lost count of how many
multistory building projects for which we provided the Structural Design
and the Inspection of the structural construction. I did a quick
tally of those in Brevard County that we have done - that I can remember at
the time of this writing - which were also constructed when the unusually
active 2004 hurricane season bore down on us: Hurricanes Charley, Frances,
and Jeanne, and also the 2005 Hurricane Wilma. Not one of these buildings experienced any structural
damages of any kind. Experience with these Types of
Structures:

Number of Multistory Buildings in Brevard County that we designed,
and that felt the winds of the 2004 and 2005 hurricanes:
In Florida, the biggest technical
design problem for a Structural Engineer is to make an economical structure
that is resistant to powerful wind forces. This is our specialty.
